As a previous resident of Bristol, the city’s many intricate and distinctive buildings provided many subjects to study. In these artworks I try to pull forward the character of a building, whilst developing my attention to detail.

A key feature in these studies is that I use them as a meditative practice too – the challenge in the detail requires a level of concentration and focus that helps keep me in the present.
